Since its inception in 2003, CANIMUN has brought thousands of bright, motivated young people together to discuss and debate some of the world’s most pressing issues. CANIMUN is an initiative of the United Nations Association in Canada and is committed to delivering on its goal of growing global citizens. CANIMUN 2018 will take place from March 8-11, 2018 in Canada’s capital city of Ottawa.
Over the years, CANIMUN has constantly striven to provide a high-quality simulation of United Nations bodies. We have worked to create the most realistic simulation possible, in order to facilitate an engaging and impactful experience for delegates. We are proud of the reputation we have developed throughout the years as one of Canada’s top Model United Nations conferences.

A highlight of each conference is the Embassy Visits Programme, which allows delegates to meet and interact with diplomatic officials from all around the world. CANIMUN 2018 will also feature a diverse staff from all around the world, who will be able to bring a wealth of experience to the conference.
We are also continuously striving to expand the diversity of our delegate pool and committee selection, while working to improve the quality of debate and conference practices in order to provide the best experience possible for our delegates.
